The SMU LIT Hackathon is an annual 3D2N hackathon organised by Singapore Management University's (SMU) Legal Innovation and Technology Club (LIT).
During this event, our law firm partners provide a set of Problem Statements, which cover diverse topics such as automating research, legal analytics and access to justice. Participant teams will choose a single Problem Statement from those provided and build a prototype solution. Participants will also get the opportunity to interact with industry leaders, academics and other legaltech stakeholders to get further inspiration and advice for their submissions.
We will be awarding over $10,000 worth of cash prizes, for multiple prize categories apart from just the top 3! All competition participants and facilitators will also receive SMU LIT merchandise and event t-shirts! Registration is FREE!
Hackathon website: https://smulit.tubalt.com/.
Date: Friday, 13 August - Sunday, 15 August 2021
Venue: Online (Discord/Zoom)
Events: Webinars, product demonstrations and panel discussions by our Platinum and Gold donors (see poster) and other event partners. The latter include SMU CCLaw, previous legaltech competition winners, and other legaltech firms such as Avvoka. The list goes on!
Participants are highly encouraged to submit prototypes. Having said that, proof-of-concepts may still be allowed but would attain a much lower score than prototypes.
